Discovering the Magic of Theater: From Childhood Memories to Professional Passion

The moment I discovered theater remains vivid in my mind. It was in the third grade when a live performance first seared theater into my memories. Although I could not understand the opera’s language, the beautifully designed set, with its vibrant colors and intricate details stayed with me to this day. This would encourage me and my curiosity about performance and storytelling.

Years later, my theatrical journey continued in high school when I was dropped into a high school theater class. I was terrified. The theater quickly became an outlet for me, both performing, writing, and technical aspects, bringing a newfound exciting experience that solidified my love for storytelling through this art form.

As I participated in each rehearsal, I dove into all aspects of theater—set design, lighting, and costuming, not just acting. This thorough understanding fueled my passion. I would spend hours thinking of set pieces, occasionally adjusting lights, and discussing character motivations with my classmates. Every production felt like a collaborative home, moving from one world to the next.

I wanted to connect audiences with stories that would provoke thought, laughter, or even tears. Sharing my experiences and helping others see themselves on stage became the heartbeat of my professional pursuit.

I currently am working with 3 individuals to help them tell their stories.

My life was saved by this art form, and I firmly believe it can do the same for countless others worldwide.
